Revolver X4 Tonneau Cover

★★★★★4.8· thousands of reviews

Our Revolver X4 tonneau cover brings hard-rolling aluminum protection to your truck bed without the weight or hassle of folding panels. Four powder-coated aluminum slats roll forward on sealed ball bearings, giving you instant access to your full bed or letting you secure cargo in seconds. The X4 sits flush with your bed rails when closed, adding a clean profile that holds up to highway speeds and weather extremes.

We built the X4 for drivers who need real security without sacrificing speed. Dual-action tailgate seals lock out dust and moisture at every seam, while integrated clamps install in under an hour with zero drilling. Whether you're hauling tools cross-country or protecting weekend gear, the Revolver X4 tonneau cover delivers the durability of a hard cover with roll-and-go convenience.

Aluminum Construction & Weather Sealing
Product details

Aluminum Construction & Weather Sealing

Each Revolver X4 panel starts as aircraft-grade aluminum, then receives a multi-stage powder coat that resists UV fade, road salt, and impact scratches. We use thicker alloy stock than typical soft covers, giving you rigid protection that won’t sag or dimple under snow load. The finish holds color for years, even in direct sun or coastal humidity.

Dual-action seals run the full perimeter of every slat. EPDM rubber gaskets compress against the bed rails and tailgate, creating a weather barrier that keeps rain, dust, and highway spray out of your cargo area. The same sealing approach found in our heavier-duty BAK Revolver lineup carries over to the X4, so you get professional-grade protection without adding unnecessary bulk. Corner drain channels route water away from the cab, preventing pooling that could seep into seams over time.

Roll & Fold Operation

Quick-Access Design

The X4 rolls open from the tailgate in one continuous motion — no latches to fumble with or panels to stack. Sealed ball bearings inside each hinge point let the cover glide forward smoothly, even when frost or dust builds up on the rails. You can stop the roll at any position to create a partial opening, securing the front section while leaving rear cargo exposed.

When you need full bed access for tall loads, quick-release levers at the cab end let you fold the entire cover forward against the rear window. The folded stack sits low enough to preserve rear visibility, and spring-loaded stops hold it in place until you’re ready to roll it back. This dual-mode setup means you’re never choosing between security and cargo flexibility — the Revolver X4 tonneau cover adapts to whatever you’re hauling that day.

Styling

Installation & Truck Compatibility

We designed the X4 clamp system to work with factory bed rails on most full-size and mid-size trucks — Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, RAM 1500, Toyota Tundra, GMC Sierra, and Nissan Titan models from 2004 forward. The kit includes pre-assembled rail brackets that slide into position without drilling, tapping, or modifying your bed.

Typical install time runs 45-60 minutes with basic hand tools. You’ll align the side rails, tighten the clamps to factory torque specs, then roll the cover into place and adjust tension using the built-in leveling screws. The system self-centers as you tighten, so you don’t need a second person to hold panels square. If your truck has a spray-in bedliner or stake pocket covers, the clamps adjust to accommodate the added thickness — no special brackets required.

Perfect fit on my 2019 Silverado
I installed this myself in about 50 minutes. The clamps lined up perfectly with my bed rails, and the cover rolls smoother than I expected. No leaks after two months of rainy commutes.

Way easier than folding panels
I used to have a tri-fold that I never opened because it was such a hassle. The X4 rolls back in seconds, and I can still lock my tailgate with it closed. Best upgrade I've made to my truck.

Holds up to highway wind and rain
We drove 800 miles through storms last month, and the cover never lifted or leaked. The finish still looks brand new, and the seals are holding tight. Very impressed with the build quality.

I keep expensive equipment in my bed, and this cover gives me real peace of mind. The aluminum panels are solid, and the lock system integrates with my truck key. No drilling was a huge plus.

Looks clean and stays quiet
The flush mount looks factory, and I get zero rattling or wind noise even at 75 mph. The powder coat matches my truck's paint tone almost perfectly. Really happy with how it turned out.

Quick access when I need it
I haul lumber and camping gear on the same truck, so I need flexible coverage. The X4 rolls open for tall loads and folds forward when I need the whole bed. Simple system that just works.

Good to know

Revolver X4 Questions

Yes, the X4 clamp system adjusts to accommodate most spray-in liners without special brackets. The rail clamps have built-in spacers that compensate for the added thickness of the liner material. You may need to slightly loosen the clamps during initial install to allow the rails to seat properly, then retighten to the torque specs in the installation manual.

If your bedliner has textured overspray on the top rail surface, we recommend cleaning that area with rubbing alcohol before installing the gaskets to ensure a tight seal.

No, the X4 requires your tailgate to be open or removed for the cover to roll forward. The rear slat latches onto the tailgate's top edge when closed, so lowering the tailgate releases the latch and allows the cover to move.

If you need bed access without opening the tailgate, consider our T2 tri-fold model, which lets you lift individual panels while the tailgate stays closed.

Each side rail has tension adjustment screws located near the cab end of the rail assembly. Use a 5mm hex key to turn these screws clockwise to increase tension or counterclockwise to decrease it. Adjust both sides evenly to keep the cover level.

Proper tension should let the cover roll smoothly without sagging in the middle when closed. If you notice wrinkles in the aluminum slats or the cover won't stay closed, increase tension by one full turn on each side and test again.

No, the X4 is designed to mount directly to your truck's bed rails and requires full access to the bed opening. It cannot be installed alongside a bed cap, topper, or camper shell.

If you plan to use a bed cap in the future, you'll need to fully remove the X4 rail system first. The clamps leave no permanent holes, so removal is straightforward.

The X4 is rated to support up to 300 pounds of evenly distributed static load when fully closed and latched. This is sufficient for snow accumulation, light kayaks, or cargo boxes designed for tonneau cover mounting.

Do not stand or walk on the cover, and avoid placing concentrated point loads over a single slat. The aluminum panels are built for rolling operation and weather sealing, not as a load-bearing platform.

Our powder coat undergoes UV cure and salt-spray testing to meet automotive exterior standards. Under normal use and exposure, the finish should maintain color and gloss for 5-7 years before showing any fade.

To extend finish life, wash the cover with mild soap and water every few months, especially if you drive in areas with road salt or heavy industrial fallout. Avoid abrasive cleaners or automatic car washes with stiff bristles.

The X4 clamp system is designed for factory-installed bed rails on most full-size and mid-size trucks. If your truck has aftermarket rail systems, you'll need to verify that the rail profile matches OEM dimensions.

We offer a separate bed rail adapter kit for trucks with non-standard rail configurations. Contact our fit specialists with your truck year, make, model, and bed length to confirm compatibility before ordering.
