Aluminum slat construction & weather resistance
Each slat in the revolver x4s tonneau cover is stamped from aircraft-grade aluminum, then powder-coated to resist scratches and fading. The interlocking design creates overlapping seams that shed water instead of channeling it into your bed.
Dual bulb seals run the full length of both side rails, compressing against the slats when locked to form a continuous gasket. At the tailgate, a separate seal wraps around the rear edge, blocking the spray and splash that typically find their way into traditional soft covers. We tested prototypes through two winters of freeze-thaw cycles and a full summer of desert heat—no warping, no cracking, no leaks.
Roll-up convenience without soft-cover compromises
Traditional soft tonneau covers roll up easily but offer little protection against punctures or determined hands. Traditional hard covers protect your cargo but require full removal to access the front half of your bed. The X4S gives you both: rigid aluminum slats that roll forward on reinforced fabric hinges, storing compactly behind the cab when you need to haul plywood, a motorcycle, or anything taller than the bed rails.
Quick-release operation
Two fabric straps with buckle closures hold the rolled cover in place. Release them, and the cover unrolls across the bed in seconds. Lock it at the tailgate, and you’re done. The same powder coat finish used on the slat panels also protects the hinge fabric from UV breakdown, so the roll mechanism stays smooth for years.
Clamp-on installation & bed compatibility
We designed the X4S rail system to clamp directly onto your bed rails without drilling or adhesive. Each clamp features a threaded knob that tightens against the inside of the rail, distributing pressure evenly to prevent warping or finish damage. The rails themselves are pre-drilled and tapped, so you align them, drop in the slats, and tighten—total install time is under 30 minutes.
The cover works with most factory spray-in liners, drop-in liners, and bare bed finishes. If your truck uses stake pocket tie-downs, the rails leave those pockets fully accessible. For trucks with bed caps or toolboxes already installed at the bulkhead, measure your available bed length before ordering to ensure the rolled cover has clearance to store.

Yes, the clamp-on rail system is compatible with most spray-in liners, drop-in liners, and bare bed finishes. The clamps tighten against the inside of your bed rails, so liner texture doesn't affect installation.
If your liner has a thick rolled edge at the top of the bed rail, measure the rail width to confirm the clamps will seat properly. Most factory and aftermarket liners leave enough clearance.
Absolutely. The cover locks at the tailgate, but you can unlock it and open the tailgate fully without removing or rolling up the cover. For bed access, you'll roll the cover forward; for tailgate access alone, just unlock and drop the gate as usual.
The latch integrates with most factory tailgate locks, so one key operates both the cover and the tailgate on compatible models.
When fully rolled and secured, the X4S occupies approximately 12–14 inches of bed length behind the cab. The exact measurement varies slightly by bed size, but it leaves the majority of your bed open for tall cargo.
If you have a toolbox or bed cap installed at the bulkhead, measure the remaining bed length to confirm the rolled cover will fit between the bulkhead accessory and your cargo.
The X4S is designed to be weather-tight under normal driving and rain conditions, with dual seals at the rails and a tailgate seal to block water intrusion. In sustained heavy rain or pressure washing, a small amount of moisture may enter through the hinge fabric over time, but the slat design sheds the vast majority of water.
It's not submersible and shouldn't be treated as waterproof in the sense of a sealed container, but it keeps cargo dry in all typical road and weather scenarios.
Most bed extenders and flip-down tailgate steps are compatible as long as they don't interfere with the cover's tailgate latch point. The X4S latches at the top center of the tailgate, so accessories mounted lower or to the side typically won't cause issues.
For extenders that mount inside the bed and protrude past the tailgate when deployed, you'll need to roll the cover forward before extending them.
We don't recommend driving with the cover partially open. The slats and fabric hinges are designed to be either fully extended and locked or fully rolled and strapped. Partial positions can allow wind to get under the slats, causing flapping or stress on the hinge fabric.
If you need ventilation while driving, consider rolling the cover fully forward and securing it, then using a cargo net or straps to manage loose items in the bed.
Wash the slats with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge—avoid abrasive cleaners or stiff brushes that can scratch the powder coat. Rinse thoroughly and let air-dry, or wipe with a microfiber towel.
Once or twice a year, apply a silicone-based protectant to the hinge fabric and seals to keep them supple. Check the rail clamps periodically and re-tighten if needed, especially after the first month of use as the cover settles into place.
